First was 007 Legends (which I guess most people didn't care about). Then the Walking Dead. Now Activision has announced it's not bringing The Amazing SpiderMan - Ultimate edition to Australia. This game was one that I actually intended on getting. What's up with this? I guess Australia is too small a market for Activision to give two sh*ts about its customers. Maybe its just cos they cant gouge us for the DLC. Guess I'll just import but to me this is a worrying event. What will they cancel next?

I don't recall seeing Madden on a shelf here.

Yeah, well I'll have to. But should I have to? If they don't want to worry about the cost of shipping a small amount of physical games here, surely they could still just release it on the Eshop.

Yes, if it came down to it, I would import them. Is it really a hassle to release a game in Australia?

I posted this in another thread but thought I would try here as well....

Can someone explain to me why certain games aren't released in Australia. Surely it wouldn't be any extra cost, and if it is it wouldn't be that much. The game is made all that needs to be done is a region change...

Well there are costs involved, it cost money to submit the game for classification as well as the cost of printing and shipping the game. I can kind of understand not shipping physical copies for such a small potential audience. However why not release these games digitally in the Eshop?

They still don't see us as a "big" market share..

Wii U sales aren't amazing here, and Acitivision is just saving their bacon. If they send 40,000 copies out here and only sell 10,000 then that presents a massive loss for them. They know if we really want the games we will import them anyway.

My suggestion would be to make a UK eShop account and purchase those games you want digitally. That way you can get the games right away without having to wait for postage.

Interesting that you say that. @Ben and I went and met with Sony Aus last week and they mentioned Australia was a "core" market, meaning it's one of the big, important markets, at least for Sony.

And another one not coming: mynintendonews.com/... It's only the Fast and Furious but the trend is worrying.

So no physical release for Resident Evil Revelations to add to Ninja Gaiden. The amount of titles not hitting shelves down under is adding up. :(
