PlayStation 4 glitch corrupting save files

Users are reporting a serious PlayStation 4 glitch corrupting save files.

According to a lengthy thread on the official forum, the glitch, with error code CE-34878-0, loses progress and can make games unplayable by causing them to crash.

Originally found with FIFA 14, which becomes unplayable, it's also been seen in other games including Battlefield 4, Call of Duty: Ghosts and NBA 2K14.

"I've even done a full restore to factory settings and it made no difference at all," said user aaronmcadam in late December.

The problem has persisted and at the time of writing, Sony has not responded with the cause or fix.

You'd be pretty pissed if you lost your progress on FIFA.

I had this as my first system crash in NFS Rivals the other day, luckily I didn't lose my save but I normally back up my files through PS+ anyway.

Still hopefully they fix this soon I'd hate to lose a lot of progress after a long session, would've been pissed if it happened in ACIV.
