Up for grabs here today is the very nice 7H Pro gaming headset from SteelSeries, it’s feature packed, comfortable to wear, has stylish looks and makes a good noise. Don’t think this competition is limited to PC gamers because the version we are giving away is the analogue one which comes with a 3.5mm plug. Basically that means you can pretty much plug these bad boys into anything that has a 3.5mm plug, PC, Macs, TVs, stereos, MPS players etc etc.

While I don't think I deserve this, I mayaswell enter and give it a whirl. My entry starts on the next paragraph and ends at the end of the post minus the quote under it. Thanks to MMGN for doing another great Giveaway.

Basically, I have been buying cheap headphones for my gaming devices, MP3 players that always after a month break, lose sound in one side or have other problems.

I don't have any speakers for my laptop at all, so the sound quality on my laptop is really crappy, portables like my DS I find, while they have clear, crisp sound still aren't nice, and I would like to experience my music in games and everything else to the fullest, and this headset would be a great way to do it.

Because as soon I enter the lobby "WTF is a jet engine doing here" The sound of my microphone for some reason is doubled up with sound canceling overpowering the voice. It looks so comfy I could just fall asleep listening to music without waking up with sore ears like I usually do. I would love it to be mine as I wouldn't sound half as annoying without the sound of high speed fans in he background :P

There is really only two reasons as to why I need these. Ear buds really do not work when trying to play at LAN parties, at home when it gets to after midnight, my logitech 5.1 system is to bass heavy therefore meaning i play without bass and that just doesnt work, at all! Oh and also I am an audiophile, I love good quality audio gear and I know from friends SteelSeries gear, that they are AWESOME! :)

ummmmmm, hmmmm, i guess if i won these headphones i could put them on so i wouldnt have to listen to myself be annoying... i could also use them for my iPod and DS as the earphones i currently have were ones that i bought for $4... so i think they could break at anytime....

Well, having 8 siblings in a 2 bedroom house it can get quite loud with all the winging. If I win this awesome headset, I can listen to music peacefully and privately, I can block out all the whining, and also I can finally have sound on my computer. Being very poor it is extremely hard to get great stuff like this, so having these headphones can block out all the noise so I can think about something positive. I am really happy an opportunity to something this awesome came around.

I don't currently have a headset, but I would like to have one, so that when I eventually myself a new computer to meet my gaming needs, I'll have have a headset which will also fit nicely for gaming.
My current computer speakers also annoy me with a buzzing sound when I leave them turned on, so I'd like to be able to listen to music etc on my computer without having to be annoied by having to turn spakers on and then off again once I'm done.

why i need a new headset: (not inculded in 100 words)
mine at the moment looks terrible, feels terrible and is terrible.
it has square shaped and really small ear sockets that hurt after long use :( as well as fake leather for ears.
silly little $20 eb plastic headset.

now for my headphone story.
i got given a sweet set of sennheiser headphones from the girlfriend and on the way home from Melbourne (3hr drive) my dog sat on my iPod will the jack was in there and it snapped. unfixable [Facepalm]
im not begging for these but they would be nice.
specially because there Special edition Guyver scented ones

I need this headset because my bedroom is next to my brothers', so I can't play games at night without waking him up, and so I need to wear a crappy $10 headset with a horrible microphone. It's really small and gives me outer ear pain because they're all cramped up inside, and the foam is peeling out. So if I can get this headset, I'll be able to play Black Ops online for hours on end without being in pain!
Also, I've recently been upgrading computer, and all I need now is a new headset and I'll have upgraded everything.

I need this headset because the cheapo ones I bought apparently have very bad quality in the microphone department therefore destroying the full "OMG!!!!11!!!! WE HAVE A GIRL PLAYING WITH US!!!!!!" experience for many young men. So to relieve all those of their frustrations, and so I can enjoy sublime sound in extreme comfort, I should win the headset. ^_^

i believe i need this head set because i am a massive music fan and im also a musician and im looking to start up a new band and this head set would be ideal for when we come to cutting out demos and editing music and they would even help with recording our tunes i would greatly appreciate it if you could help me and the guys out by rewarding us with this head set =D

Well, it seems as though everyone likes to chuck a bit of a spaz at me when you can't hear a word I say through my laptop microphone. Which also makes me feel somewhat rejected due to the fact my voice can't be heard and it sounds like i threw my laptop into a blender. So I think something like this would do some good and the days of the blender would be forgotten. I need a new headset because I want to use it to play Source Wednesdays, other gaming nights, and especially Left 4 Dead, Left 4 Dead 2 with a headset to talk to those that scream at me.. (Probe....) Well I have to Admit, I love sound. I have a passion for beautiful wavey, strong bold Musical talent. I'm frequently engrossed with Bands, or Artist's which try new things. My favourite current examples would be Sigur Ros, and Jonsi. The music they produce is strong and daunting. Its just purely magnificent. To get my hands on this Headset would be great, I love my music and I listen to it everyday. I have 100's of albums and my Music Library exceeds 100gb. I love Sound. ^_^

If you were an audiophile, you wouldnt be using logitech.
I believe i should win these because:
1. Im to poor to afford good headsets(been using 5 dollar cheapshop headphones)
2. If i win i can join in on the voice chat on source wednesdays
3. My ears get cold sometimes. i can just slip these babies on and be super warm.
4. ex-review means that they've been TOUCHED BY GUYVER
5. i dont have any friends and if i get this headset ill have heaps of friends because they all want to be close to the epic headset of awesomeness.

To be honest I don't own any pair of headphones or microphones at the moment and all I have for my PC is some really dodgy speakers. I really want to start to get into online gaming now that high school is finished. I was also hoping to play CoD4 on my PC however to play it online in multiplayer mode with Windows Vista it requires me to insert a microphone to play. The 'dog sat on my earphones' cracked me up but the smile was quickly wiped from my face when I realised it was a present from his GF. The tragedy of the incident has left me speechless and in search of a remedy, a solution to restore the balance of this shattered young man's life, to replenish his womans respect for him and his faith in his canine companion..... :)

Weeeeeeeeeeeel I believe I need a new headset because my old headset worked for about a total of 1 hour before they decided to die in the ass, now when I use them it sounds like Kenni's parents yelling at him for being awake after 7.00pm (kinda scary to tell ya the truth). And the fact that my headset as mysteriously disappeared and are know where to be found doesn't really help either (I think they are in the same place as Kenni's headphones were once found after the mysteriously disappeared [sick] )

I play eroge, often. My old headsets and speakers don't seem to be able to capture the intimacy that comes from these "girlfriends". The echoes make it feel like there is tons of girls oooohing and aaaaahing at the same time and it spoils my mood when I want to enjoy the smexy scene one on one. I want that moe-moe oni-chan feeling that comes with a new headphone. (love)

Real answer:
I play the keyboard and the noise made by my neighbours make it hard for me to concentrate on my own music. It is like fighting their dumsch-dumsch-dumsch with my own ding dongs. Especially when you write music, a little difference of detecting echos and reverbs makes a big impact in the music. So yeah, new headphone = more awesome music.

So the cable is 1+2 metres long. My current one is about 1.5 metres. With this I can sit on the comfy couch behind the center-table, instead of getting a fold-up chair and placing it in front of the table and playing. It's also got WAY more cushioning (unless because they always go flat? X_X dunno) and you can also customize the cushioning which is new to me. Also both ear cushions surround the outside of your ear therefore making them comfortable to use. My current one is [sick] now. Hopefully it doesn't ruin my mo-falcon (mo-hawk) as bad. You see I've got many great plans for them, that explicitly need THIS headset. First of all I could wear it out on the town, flaunting them like you would, and women would think, "Wow his got nice headset. Lets smex!"
Secondly it would make for some ultra cute photos when i stick them on my cats head while they're being adorable. This would happen before the smex.

I need the headphones because unfortunately my wife doesn't come with a mute button, god bless her soul, and I don't know how else to drown out the screams of my kids. And I'm afraid if I have to listen to my boss drone on and on one more time, I will go Mike Tyson on myself and bite my ears off.

Nah, it's because this boombox on my shoulder is really starting to affect my hearing and I think it's ruining my shoulder. Not to mention the looks I get from strangers when I'm walking down the street.

Well, I really need a new headset because my PC speakers have just about done everything except died on me, and I am currently using a $5 pair of headphones I got from the reject shop four years ago, and they too have done everything but died on me, so it would be great if I got a new pair of headphones that I can use for my music as well as gaming and hopefully skype.

The reason why i want on is because the old xbox 360 headsets are great but with only one speaker its hard to tell what people are saying and they also break easy but not only that the main reason why i want them is because i am a hardcore gamer and like in your review hardcore xbox live gamers should consider this but also the xbox 360 microphones give me a red mark on my head and are uncomfortable

I would love to win bcoz, My old mini stereo which i use that put of low/poor sound @_@
Theirs no depth when playing Battlefield an often get knifed from behind [Facepalm]
And when playing "GRiD' every car sounds like a bloody Datsun @_@
They have no bass which sucks when want to crank up the prodigy an rage out like an angry emo with down syndrome, lol [Rage]
And my old fokes dont understand what it means to have good sound and dont want me to buy a 5.1 System and say it'll be to loud at night, And suggest i buy a pair of headphones, But good headphone are pricey.

I realllllly want a new NICE headphone since either my brothers or my friends always brakes mine and the usual earphones i get can only last for 2 weeks ish so i rage [Rage]

I generously gave my headset to my brother to use since he sits in a loud location. One day he decided to try and run away from the computer before taking them off and ripped one of the ear pieces off. I barely ever got to use that headset myself.

My Current Headset, though with its terrible sound quality has done its job until now. The left earpiece has stopped working and occasionally crackles causing me to use them on an angle, and my mic has been dictating to me when it feels like working and is very frustrating when needed for communication. Optus just upgraded me to a new iPhone, and despite my kid's utter disbelief that I would be able to use it, I've even taught them a few things about it heh heh. Now I finally have a portable music player but the tinny little earphones that came with the phone are no good for my big old hairy ears. I'm using a headset I flogged from a plane, but would really like to get some awesomely good ones just like the Steel Series.

I need a new headset because, during winter when I was wearing beanies, I put my Gamecom 777s on without enlarging the headband, and the arm split off! Now my headphones have packing tape wrapped around them.

If I can score some sympathy points, it would also help because I need to replace some of my car's wheels, all of its tyres, and its A/C compressor, and I can only work one or two days a week. :'@
