I'm sure I was 8 or even younger when I played my first computer games, At my late pops house. Memories of playing games like Jill of the jungle and Tutankhamen. I had the taste of games,
Sure only a couple of years later my brother received a master system 2 for his birthday. I didnt get to play it much but I watched him alot, I used to promise him id be super quiet so I could watch hoping for a small turn, He mostly had games like bubble bobble, mickey mouse,wonder boy, sonic and alex kidd in miracle world but ultima was my favourite and when I eventually had a turn I played it for hours, maybe that was the start of my love for RPGs?
It was a couple of years after that before I saw or played a NES and gameboy at my cousins house.
She didnt have alot of games just a couple but some of my favorites, we were around there alot so I got a nice long play of each, super mario bros, 1, 2 and 3 and krustys fun house. Super mario bros 3 was my favorite and still is. She only had tetris on her gameboy but that didnt matter either of us could easily sit and play that for hours on end..
Family changes and I meet my soon to be step dad, I was 10 He had 2 computers, I think they were running windows DOS although I cant remember cause it was still a couple of years off from windows 95 from being released. HE showed me games like commando keen etc.
He gave us kids an old commidoor 64 which I remember playing donald ducks playground alot on it and man that was one frustrating game. honestly cant remember any other games i played on it,
Fast forward another year or two and I get my own IBM computer running windows 95, I was a teen. Had many games to choose from such as Rise of the triad, doom, duke, all the discworld games, Tex murphy, Gabriel knight, Stonekeep.
Honeslty i think I played all the classic titles at the time, First taste of multiplayer when my stepdad hooked up my computer with his and we played rise of the triad LAN , he was in one room, I was down the hall in my room. We made our own levels and played them AWESOME times!!!
So I finished highschool year 2000 and the much anticipated playstation 2 was released!! I started working at my local supermarket and saved a ton of money so the next christmas 2001 was the chirstmas i bought my playstation 2
and met my partner. First game I bought was a fighting ninja game.. no I cant remember the name but it sucked, My brother had bought me grand theft auto 3 which juat amazed me!!!
Hours and hours I played.. never finished the story but I just ran around cause I never experienced open world!! it sparked my love for freeroam games which i have today.
Didnt buy many games for a while, I was heavly pregnant and moved in with my partner Tony, He bought a car racing game I remember him playing but cant remember what it was or anything, Next game I bought was a spongebob game. played it when my son would have a nap.
THEN the unthinkable happened.. I had another child and somehow lost my gaming love, or maybe cause i only had a playstation 2 I just couldnt afford the games..
Years past.. I mean years.. My son was 4 when I let him play spongebob on the playstation 2. he was pretty good at it but thats pretty much all he had to play.. THEN we get married.
Tony wanted to buy me a wedding present, What did I want? I didnt want jewelry, or shit like that I wanted a custom build PC.. and thats exactly what i got, My step father gave me a sheet that had all the parts I needed, he ordered them and built it
for me. at the time I spent over $2000. Loved it when it came, Tony bought me my first game!!! GUESS what it was!!! MORROWIND!!!!!!!!!! my god I played hours and hours and hours, sure I eventually had sims 2
but I still didnt have many games so I just played morrowind over and over again. sims 2 to break it up,
Lost my way again.. I had all the sims 2 expansions and started playing a few different games.. bought my son a lot of playstation 2 games. he even started to play my PC.
around 2006 wii was announced.. I wanted it!!! I wanted something different,, yep I had it soon after launch!! loved it.. actually thats when I first came to mywii but as a differnt username forgot my old username. I want around for long at the time.. Loved my wii.. bought so many games, played sports the most though. its funny the xbox360 was before the wii but I didnt really want it. till I started working even more shifts, I had a few dollars to spend so I just bought one,
Found myself back onto mymedia sites. I enjoyed playing the tony hawk games like american waseland. MY pc was getting old and run down, sims 3 was getting released and when it did it played like crap
so I stopped playing games on it and just stuck to the xbox360, had a couple of years of loving it, some time through those years i bought a psp which I sold within 6 months,
I bought a DS lite too which I mostly let my kids play, eventually they had one each.
The playstion 3 was never in my mind to buy untill the price was slashed. I bought one for around $500..First game i played was MGS4!! very awesome!! My local video shop rented games out super cheap at the time so i rented all my ps3 games
had played so many games and platinumed 11. left my xbox 360 by iteslf for a while. Some of my favourite games have been the skate series, Fallout 3, oblivion, infamous, resistance 2, I had crappy net so my online experience wasnt the best.

Always went back to my wii though. games like animal crossing and elebits kept me coming back. bought a few virtual console games on it to. just like the ones I played when I was younger. bought a old snes this year to so I could play some stuff old school,
Ending of this blog might seem rushed but I was a busy sleep deprived mum whos years may be all muddled up, but the memories of these great games keep fresh.

leaving me with a little bit of spending money,, YES I bought a imac 27' very well knowing I could bootcamp it and run windows so I could play PC games. I love it and still do.. Bought a huge amount of games on the christmas steam sale.
was told you cant play games on an imac.. which is false.. So far have been able to run ALL the games I have bought. sure only on low or mediam settings but I still can play them!!
ALso with faster 200gb net multiplayer games like team fortress 2 are super fun!! Playing games like sims 3, Minecraft!! dead rising 2,portal 2 just a few games I enjoy currently.
After all these years what am I left with?
I have an old snes, a xbox360 which my son uses, a wii which my daughter plays , a 3DS which I swapped my ps3 for *cough* and a pile of steam games which im playing more now then I ever did on my imac!!!
and what does my future hold?
Im saving for a new build around $2000 cause after all this time, no I dont want another ps3 or xbox or the new wii u, I want to go back to my roots, where it all started!! the thing I know and love, keyboard and mouse!!!
I dont want to run games on low setting I want them to run smooth on a high setting!!! I am back!!!
